What done actually means
A migration is only complete when it passes verification. This is the checklist we work through before we ask you to accept the finished site.
Pages and links
- Homepage, key pages, and language variants load correctly.
- Important old URLs redirect to the right new locations.
- Key images and assets load without broken links.
- Sitemap and robots files are in place.
Page content and SEO
- Page titles and meta descriptions are correct.
- Canonical URLs point to your production domain.
- No staging or development URLs remain in the live pages.
- Social sharing metadata is intact.
Display and interaction
- Header, footer, and menus render and behave correctly.
- Layout holds up on desktop and mobile.
- No obvious browser console errors appear.
Forms and email
- A test submission is sent through each real form.
- The success state displays correctly.
- The message is confirmed delivered to your mailbox.
WordPress configuration
- Site address settings point to your production domain.
- The correct theme is active and permalinks are set as expected.
- Page and post counts match what was imported.
- Temporary importer and fixer scripts have been removed.
Backup and rollback
- A backup of your original site files and database exists.
- A documented rollback path is in place.
